Development Update: The Village
The Village, located in Cheltenham Victoria, is set to be a vibrant oasis within an urbane environment — full of personality, diversity and energy. Constructions on The Village has encountered unexpected delays due to:
- Obtaining an Environmental Statement of Audit (ESA) – This required the construction team to temporarily pause construction for several months.
- High rainfall – this caused delays upon the timeframes for ground works required for excavation and construction of the basement car park.
Works recommenced onsite from 30 May 2017.
Regrettably, these unexpected delays has pushed back the anticipated completion date to mid-2018*.
Although it may come as small consolation to the delays, the suburb of Cheltenham continues to see price growth with an annual capital growth for units of 6.10% (Source: Your Investment Property).
Regular construction updates will now recommence and we will keep you informed of progress and communicate more specifically around completion time as construction progresses.
