Swan River:
The Swan River connects Darling Scarp to Fremantle. This natural attraction is popular for both Perth locals and visitors to enjoy. Perfect spot for boating, fishing, swimming and picnics.
Kings Park & Botanic Gardens:
The picturesque park and gardens overlook the central business district of Perth. The 400.6-hectare park cultivates over 13,000 species of Western Australian plants and contains one of the world’s largest areas of natural bush land close to a city. Enjoy treetop and river views, explore the play areas and walk through the park.
Perth Zoo:
Located just minutes from Perth City, Perth Zoo is a convenient and beautiful way to meet Australia’s incredible wildlife. Fun for the whole family, the zoo houses a wide range of animals including rhinoceros, giraffes, lions and elephants. You can also discover the best of Australia’s wildlife including koalas, emus, wallabies and kangaroos.
Fraser Avenue Lookout:
Located in Kings Park, a short distance from the centre of Perth, Fraser Avenue Lookout offers spectacular views of the Swan River and Perth City. Plenty of picnic spots to take in the views during the day or visit the lookout at night to see the lit up city.
Hit The Beach:
Perth’s top coastal hang-outs are Cottesloe beach and Scarborough beach. Scarborough beach shore is lined with hotels, apartments, shops, and restaurants where as Cottesloe is backed by dunes and Norfolk pines. Whichever you prefer, both are a must see!
